Day 21 - 28

 

 








New rule... if I don't have the energy to blog about it, at least email myself a blog reflection, or don't count it as a day of art making. 

There's definitely been a lot of uncertainty in my life and for the past week, I haven't had the energy to blog or upload straight after the art creation. I didn't even meditate and create art some of these days so I've already broken my consecutive streak. 

But still, I will persevere. The intention was for 108 pieces and I will finish it at that number.

Karma is certainly clearing, as I am venturing into the next chapter of my life. Still some unknowns at this stage, nothing significant to announce yet.

Day 1 of my 108 days meditation collection.  As I said in my Tik Tok, the intention is to clear the Karma.  You don't need to resonate if you don't believe in anything to do with karmic energy or things like that. You can take it as a piece of abstract artwork, as that is part of my intention as well.  The feelings that I've been processing lately have led me down this rabbit hole and I can't ignore the need to create art, and then simply share it online with the NFT community --- people who truly recognise good art and appreciate art for art's sake.  I don't know about utilities, and whatever other special lingo there is for NFT trends.  I know that since I was a little girl I've loved visual arts, throughout high school, art was my favourite subject. By university, I didn't pursue it academically but I have always kept the art within my heart.  It's only Day 1. So I'll say this much for now.

Inspired by Succession

  I like working with symmetry when I make these collages. Visually, I draw the attention to the central focus. I was watching the show Succession the whole time whilst making this board. The themes of greed, power, and Capitalism running through my psyche as I assembled all these pieces.  Kudos to the model, who unfortunately I don't know who she is or where this image came from (check the links at The Landing ).  The snakes are symbolic of the dark feminine power of Medusa. The black cougar sculptures down the bottom are symbolic of the Egyptian Goddess Sekhmet.  Take whatever meanings this image applies to you. It took me some time to piece together, with the New York skyline in the backdrop, and lots of dollar bills repeated.  I'd be happy to see this piece sold for around $ETH 0.2 ~ 0.4
